Meet the Team
Campaign strategist. Developer. Organizer.
Jovy Lopez has spent more than two decades in Democratic politics — not watching from the sidelines, but in the trenches. He's knocked doors, managed field operations, built campaign technology from scratch, and helped elect Democrats across four states. He founded StrataDems to bring that hands-on experience to the candidates and causes transforming South Texas.
Born in Puerto Rico and raised with deep ties to the Latino community, Jovy splits his time between Texas and Maryland. He understands the cultural landscape of South Texas at a cellular level — the faith communities, the family networks, the business relationships that drive real political outcomes. This isn't consultant-speak. It's lived experience.
What makes Jovy different: he's a full-stack developer as well as a political operative. He doesn't just plan the digital strategy — he builds it. Campaign websites, voter contact tools, data infrastructure, automation systems. In a market where most consultants outsource their technology, Jovy writes the code himself.
He currently serves as an At-Large Member of the Montgomery County Democratic Central Committee and as a representative to the Democratic State Central Committee Executive Committee. He lives in Gaithersburg, Maryland with his wife Alicia and son Julian, but his political home is Texas.

Crystal Kadura-Arriaga
Crystal Kadura-Arriaga brings seventeen years of program management experience with the Department of Defense to StrataDems — most recently as Deputy Director at DLH Corporation, where she oversaw contracts for the Defense Health Agency. A proud Black executive in technology and defense, Crystal brings the operational discipline and organizational rigor that turns campaign vision into executable strategy.
As a military spouse, Crystal rebuilt her career from scratch four times in different cities — developing an extraordinary ability to walk into unfamiliar environments, build relationships fast, and deliver results under pressure. That resilience and adaptability is exactly what campaigns need.
She grew up in Houston and understands the state's communities and culture from the inside out. Where Jovy brings the campaign strategy, political communications, and ground-game expertise, Crystal brings the program management infrastructure, technology integration, and operational systems that keep everything running. Together, they cover the full spectrum — from voter contact to contract management.
